Interviews With the Designer & Builder
The Cadence model home reflects the balance of design and craftsmanship that defines every Fusion Home.
Open layouts, natural light, and a refined mix of tones and textures come together to create spaces that feel timeless and effortless.
To give you a closer look, we spoke with Madi, our Interior Designer, and Greg Dann, General Manager of Construction, who helped bring this model home to life.

Behind the Design
A Discussion with our Interior Designer, Madi Mercante
From the very first sketch to the final styling detail, Madi shapes spaces that feel calm, elevated, and personal – true to the Cadence Vision.
Q.What inspired the interior design direction for the Cadence model home?
A. Cadence’s interior is built around a dramatic, ambient palette, saturated color, rich textures, warm woods, and statement lighting. It’s a deliberate play of light and dark: deep hues and luxe, buttery fabrics that create atmosphere and a sense of retreat. The goal was to pair earth inspiration with a refined, modern edge so the home feels indulgent yet welcoming.

Q.How would you describe the overall aesthetic you wanted to achieve?
A.This home is in such a special community. Through every design decision, I wanted to ensure that we were honoring the unique architectural elements of the surrounding homes in the community while adding a modern spin. This home was meant to integrate into the community while standing out as something unique to set our brand apart. From the moment you step on the property there is a cohesive flow from the exterior that continues throughout your journey in the interior of the home. Warm neutrals and bold design elements catch your eyes as you immerse yourself into the beauty of the Hail II C.

Q.Which finishes or design elements are you most excited for visitors to see?
A. The asymmetric fireplace feature. Its bold composition, layered textures, and patterned detail are intentionally uncommon – one of several “wow moments” we designed. I want visitors to picture quiet evenings by the fire, then transitioning to a spa-like ensuite to unplug and reset. Cadence is for those who appreciate pushing boundaries and enjoying the finer things, while pressing pause on the everyday.

A Discussion with our General Manager of Construction, Greg Dann
Greg oversees how ideas become homes, translating design intent into precise execution on site.
Q.How does Cadence reflect Fusion’s commitment to quality?
A.The Cadence Model Home showcases Fusion Homes’ quality end to end, sleek aesthetics, disciplined execution, and modern upgrades that let clients meet both function and cosmetic goals. This plan demonstrates that breadth of options we offer to suit different families and their day-to-day needs.

Q.What does “Fusion Quality” mean to you, and how is it demonstrated here?
A.Fusion Quality is our backbone. No decision, design, application, construction, or flow is overlooked. Our rigorous plan reviews and pre-build process set the stage; on site, we execute against an internal checklist program and quality controls. The result is relevance in design and comfort in living: finishes that are beautiful yet durable, and a natural flow you feel as you move through the home.

Q.Which construction details at Cadence highlight that promise?
A. You’ll notice it immediately:
- Flat walls and floors, with crisp transitions from walls to ceilings.
- Stairs blocked and fastened at every stud for rigidity and silent treads.
- Trim mitres glued and secured to prevent gapping over time.
- Extensive subfloor preparation so every surface feels solid underfoot. It’s about knowing the home and taking every step needed to meet the standard we promise
